Thank you for your interest in the University of Michigan's Wolverine Pathways program. From December 18, 2017- February 2, 2018, we will be accepting applicants from Detroit, Southfield, and Ypsilanti.

Parents: All accounts should be created in the name of the student and the application should be completed by the student.

About: Scholars accepted into the Wolverine Pathways program will receive educationally enriching opportunities that provide rigor and creativity. Additionally, if scholars successfully complete the program and are admitted to the University of Michigan, they will receive a full four-year tuition scholarship. The program requires a commitment of three years for 10th-grade students or six years for 7th-grade students.

All applicants must live within the boundaries of the city of Detroit, Southfield Public or Ypsilanti Community school districts. Accepted applicants will enter the program in Fall 2018.

Wolverine Pathways Application Requirements
  • Student, parent, and school information

  • Three entrance essays (essays should be well written and thoroughly proof read)

  • Two recommendations from English, math, science, or social studies instructors

  • One recommendation from an instructor of an elective subject (dance, orchestra, robotics, etc.) or the leader of an extracurricular activity that takes place in or outside of school

  • A copy of your last school year’s final report card AND a copy of the most recent report card from this school year

    • 6th graders- final 5th grade report card & most recent 6th grade report card

    • 9th graders- final 8th grade report card & most recent 9th grade report card
